Grayson Lake Kayaking

WE ONLY ARE OFFERING GUIDED EXCURSIONS OF GRAYSON LAKE FROM THE NEWFOUNDLAND BOAT RAMP FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON.

Friday evening or Saturday, Sunday and this Monday morning.

Follow your guide through the winding channels of Grayson Lake while you take in the beautiful sites of cliff faces, wildlife, flora and fauna. These paddles are perfect for adults of all experience levels on our OldTown Twister 11.3’ Sit-On-Top Kayaks as well as children that are able to paddle approximately 5 miles and/or be towed by their parent. (Please let us know at time of booking if a tow rope will be needed)

Rental includes single kayak accommodating up to 230#, paddle, life jacket and guide.

Come on down for our on-site kayaking at our location on the Little Sandy River.

Choose your adventure! Travel down the river (left from our dock) and head out on a 2.3 mile paddle to the mouth of the Ohio River before paddling back, or paddle (right from our dock) to travel up the winding river and float/paddle your way back.

The waters of the Little Sandy River are typically very still, with little to no current due to the river being dammed several miles upstream to create Grayson Lake as well as the dam that controls the water levels on the Ohio River just a few miles upstream.

Kayak and canoe rentals are a flat rate for the day. Arrive and paddle as long as you like within our hours of operation.

This is a rental only. No guide will be provided to you and there are no waterfalls or caves on the Little Sandy River.
